Draft Beer Line Cleaning and Draft System Service in Wicker Park
Wicker Park is part of the West Town community area, bounded roughly by Division Street on the south, Bloomingdale Avenue and the 606 trail on the north, and Ashland and Western avenues on the east and west. Its busiest corner is the angled intersection where Milwaukee, North and Damen avenues meet beside the Blue Line.
Milwaukee Avenue runs diagonally through the neighborhood, and North Avenue and Division Street have filled with bars, restaurants and shops of their own. After dark the area leans toward nightlife: live-music rooms, late-night clubs, cocktail bars and speakeasies, pubs and neighborhood dive bars, along with a hotel rooftop bar that looks out over the skyline.
Late nights, live shows and frequent keg changes are hard on equipment. Cleaning visits for Wicker Park bars are set for hours when the taps are idle, and the parts that wear fastest (couplers, faucets and seals) get replaced before they start to leak. We also track down foam and pressure problems and build out systems for venues adding taps or a second bar.

Common questions
Our bartenders open the faucets partway to slow the pour. Is that a problem?
It usually adds foam. Standard faucets are made to be opened all the way, and a half-open faucet churns the beer as it passes through. If a fully opened faucet pours too fast, the fix belongs in the system, such as rebalancing the line or adjusting pressure, so every tap can be opened fully and still pour cleanly. Balancing and repair.
We change kegs constantly on busy nights. Do the couplers need attention?
Yes. Every keg change works the coupler's seals, and a worn one can leak gas or beer. Couplers also hold beer in small passages that flushing the line does not reach, so we take them apart and clean them during line cleaning, replace worn seals and washers, and check the connections for gas leaks. CO2 and beverage gas.
