Draft Beer Line Cleaning and Draft System Service in Lincoln Square
Lincoln Square is a North Side community area made up of several smaller neighborhoods, including Ravenswood and Bowmanville, but most people mean its commercial heart: the stretch of Lincoln Avenue between Leland and Lawrence avenues, near the Western Brown Line station. Lincoln Avenue began as a road farmers used to haul produce into the city, and taverns for passing travelers were among its earliest businesses.
The neighborhood is known for its German roots. German restaurants and beer halls share Lincoln Avenue with pubs, a bar done up like an alpine lodge, cafes and shops, while Giddings Plaza, with its fountain, hosts summer concerts. Maifest and an Oktoberfest celebration bring crowds to the street, and a short walk east, Ravenswood Avenue's old industrial corridor now holds breweries and a distillery.
Beer halls pouring imported German beers, taprooms and corner taverns each ask something different of a draft system, starting with gas: beers brewed to different carbonation levels need their own pressures to pour right. In Lincoln Square we set up and service regulators, gas and glycol equipment, clean lines on schedule, and design and install systems for new and remodeled spaces.

Common questions
We pour imported beers with very different carbonation levels. Can one system handle them all?
Yes, with the right gas setup. A primary regulator sets the main pressure, and secondary regulators let each beer or group of beers run at its own pressure from the same supply. That keeps highly carbonated beers from going flat and lower-carbonated ones from picking up extra gas. Regulators and gas blenders.
Some of our imported kegs need a different coupler. Is that a problem?
Not if the right couplers are on hand. Many European kegs use a different valve than most American kegs, so tapping them takes a matching coupler. Those couplers need the same cleaning and seal replacement as the rest, and each one should be checked for leaks when it goes into service. Couplers and repairs.
