Draft Beer Line Cleaning and Draft System Service in the West Loop

The West Loop sits just west of downtown, across the South Branch of the Chicago River from the Loop, in the Near West Side community area. Union Station and Ogilvie Transportation Center mark its eastern edge, and the United Center stands on Madison Street at its western edge.

Its dining scene centers on a few well-known stretches: Randolph Street's Restaurant Row; the Fulton Market District, where old market and meatpacking buildings now hold restaurants, bars and hotels; and Greektown along Halsted Street.

Many of these spaces are converted industrial buildings, where the walk-in may sit in a basement or at the back of a deep floor plan, far from the bar. That often calls for a long-draw system with a glycol-cooled trunk line, and many venues add rooftop bars, multiple bar stations or private event rooms with their own taps. We clean, repair and balance those systems, service the chillers and gas, and install new systems for build-outs.

The West Loop is one of the Chicago neighborhoods we serve. See the Chicago page.

Common questions

Do you cover Greektown and the blocks around the United Center?

Yes. Our West Loop coverage takes in Fulton Market, Randolph Street, Greektown and the rest of the Near West Side, including the area around the United Center.

We're building out a space in Fulton Market. When should draft planning start?

Before the build-out drawings are final. In a converted building, the path from the walk-in to the bar, the openings for the trunk line and the spot for a glycol chiller all depend on the structure, and they are easier to plan before walls and ceilings close. Draft system design.

Can several bar stations run off one cooler?

Yes. Larger restaurants, hotels and event spaces often feed several bar stations from one walk-in through a shared trunk line. Each line still has to be cleaned and balanced for its own run, and the glycol chiller has to be sized for the whole system.
