Draft Beer Line Cleaning and Draft System Service in Lincoln Park
Lincoln Park is a North Side community area that runs from North Avenue up to Diversey Parkway, with its namesake park and the lakefront on the east and the North Branch of the Chicago River on the west. DePaul University's campus covers much of the area around Fullerton and Sheffield avenues, and the Old Town Triangle fills the community area's southeast corner.
Its bars and restaurants follow a few long commercial streets. Clark Street carries them from Armitage up to Diversey, and Lincoln Avenue does the same north of Webster. Where Armitage Avenue meets Halsted Street, a city landmark district preserves one of Chicago's finest nineteenth-century shopping streetscapes, a mix of small storefronts and multi-story mixed-use buildings. Neighborhood bars share these blocks with fine-dining rooms, a theater company's home on Halsted, a hotel rooftop bar and a blues club with music well into the night.
Older mixed-use buildings like these can keep the kegs a floor below the bar, with lines climbing from a basement walk-in to the taps. A setup like that pours well when the run stays cold and each line is balanced for the climb. For Lincoln Park accounts we handle that work along with scheduled cleaning, repairs, and new or expanded systems.

Common questions
Our lines run from a basement walk-in through an air-cooled duct. What does that kind of system need?
An air-cooled long-draw system uses a blower in the walk-in to push cold air through an insulated duct around the beer lines, and that air has to reach the tower and return. It suits shorter runs like a basement-to-bar climb, as long as the blower keeps running, the duct stays sealed and insulated, and the return path is clear. When a run is too long for cold air to keep up, glycol is the usual upgrade. Long-draw and glycol options.
Our lines are cleaned on schedule, but the beer still tastes a little stale. What else could it be?
One possibility is beerstone, a mineral scale that routine caustic cleaning does not fully remove; a periodic acid cleaning clears it. Worn faucet parts and aging lines are other suspects. Comparing a pour from the line with the same beer from a fresh keg or package helps narrow it down. Beer line cleaning.
