Draft Beer Line Cleaning and Draft System Service in Northbrook

Northbrook was incorporated in 1901 as Shermerville, named for the man who donated land for the area's first railroad station, and took its current name in 1923 after a naming contest. Its downtown still centers on that rail line. The Village describes downtown as the community's traditional civic, commercial and cultural center, built around the Metra station on Shermer Road with a branch of the Chicago River running through it, and its current plans for the district focus on walkability, dining and places to gather.

The village sits at the north edge of Cook County, next to the Lake County line. Deerfield, Riverwoods and Highland Park lie to the north, Glencoe and Northfield to the east, and Glenview runs along its long southern border, while the Tri-State Tollway, the Edens Spur and the Edens Expressway frame it on three sides. Outside downtown, restaurants are spread across shopping centers throughout the village.

Draft beer in Northbrook pours at downtown restaurants, sports bars, hotel bars and banquet rooms, and dining rooms in the shopping centers. Each needs the same core care: lines cleaned on a set interval, gas pressure and temperature checked, worn hardware replaced before it starts to leak, and new taps or complete systems installed when a space opens or grows.

Northbrook is part of our suburban Cook County service area. See the Cook County page.

Common questions

We have locations in Northbrook and just over the line in Lake County. Can one company handle both?

Yes. Our service area includes Lake County as well as suburban Cook County, so neighboring towns such as Deerfield and Highland Park are covered too, and locations in Cook and Lake counties can share one schedule. Our Lake County page.

Our downtown space has an older draft system. Can the existing lines be reused?

Sometimes. Lines that still clean up well and hold temperature can stay in service. Older vinyl that has turned stiff or stained, or that keeps a stale taste no matter how often it is cleaned, is better replaced, and old faucets and shanks are worth checking at the same time. We can look at the system and tell you which parts are worth keeping. Repair and service.
