Draft Beer Line Cleaning and Draft System Service in Wheaton
Wheaton is the county seat of DuPage County and sits near its middle, with Carol Stream to the north, Glen Ellyn to the east, Lisle to the south and Winfield to the west. Metra's Union Pacific West Line runs through town, stopping at the downtown Wheaton station and at College Avenue, next to the Wheaton College campus.
Wheaton was a dry town for decades. Voters lifted its ban on alcohol sales in 1985, partly on the argument that alcohol sales would draw restaurants and help downtown. Today downtown centers on Front Street, Hale Street, Main Street and Liberty Drive, blocks the city rebuilt in a multi-phase streetscape project, and restaurants and live music spots line them. Away from downtown, more restaurants sit in the shopping centers around Butterfield and Naperville roads in the Danada area.
A downtown dining room pouring from a cooler behind the bar and a shopping-center restaurant feeding several towers from a walk-in are built differently, and each has its own weak points. We clean Wheaton draft systems on a recurring schedule, track down off-flavors and foamy pours, keep glycol and CO2 equipment working, and plan and install new systems when a restaurant opens or expands.

Common questions
We're taking over a restaurant space that already has a draft system. What should happen before we start pouring?
Have the system inspected and cleaned before the first keg goes on. Lines that sat unused while the space was empty can hold old beer and buildup, and worn faucets, couplers and seals are easier to replace before opening night than in the middle of service. Checking gas pressure and temperature at the same time shows whether the setup suits the beers you plan to pour. Repair and service.
Do you cover restaurants outside downtown, such as those near Danada?
Yes. Our Wheaton coverage takes in the shopping centers around Butterfield and Naperville roads as well as downtown and the rest of the city.
Our spot is by the College Avenue station, not downtown. Is that in your area?
Yes. Our Wheaton coverage includes the blocks around the College Avenue stop next to the Wheaton College campus, as well as downtown around the main Wheaton station, the Danada area and everything in between.
