Draft Beer Line Cleaning and Draft System Service in Elmhurst

Elmhurst sits on DuPage County's eastern edge, where it meets the Cook County suburbs of Franklin Park, Northlake, Berkeley and Hillside. On the DuPage side it borders Bensenville, Addison, Villa Park, Oakbrook Terrace and Oak Brook. Downtown, which the city calls City Centre, runs from Virginia Street north to North Avenue along York Street, Addison Avenue and Palmer Drive, and it is served by Metra's Union Pacific West Line.

City Centre has a movie theater, a wide variety of restaurants and outdoor dining. Elmhurst also has smaller business districts with dining of their own: Spring Road on the southwest side, near the Illinois Prairie Path, with family-owned restaurants and bars, and York and Vallette, home to a farmers market. In the north end, Lake Street and Grand Avenue mix hotels, office buildings and restaurants close to the city's business parks, and shopping centers gather around Route 83 at North Avenue and at St. Charles Road.

An Elmhurst draft account might be a City Centre restaurant with sidewalk tables, a Spring Road tavern or a hotel bar near the business parks. For all of them we provide recurring line cleaning, diagnose off-flavors and foamy pours, service glycol chillers and gas equipment, and install new or expanded systems.

Elmhurst is part of our DuPage County service area. See the DuPage County page.

Common questions

Our outdoor seating fills up on summer nights. Can our draft system keep up?

Sometimes not without changes. Extra seats mean faster pouring, and a cooler that holds temperature on quiet nights can fall behind during a rush. Warm beer foams, so if pours slip on busy patio nights, measure beer temperature at the faucet mid-rush. The fix may be cooler capacity, how kegs are rotated, or on a long-draw system, the glycol chiller. Glycol chiller service.

Do you cover Spring Road and the other neighborhood districts, or just City Centre?

All of them. Along with City Centre, we cover the Spring Road district near the Illinois Prairie Path, York and Vallette, the hotels and restaurants along Lake Street and Grand Avenue in the north end, and the shopping centers on Route 83.

A few of our faucets stick or drip. Do they need replacing?

Not always. Many faucets can be taken apart, cleaned and rebuilt with new seals, which usually stops the sticking and dripping. A cracked or badly worn faucet gets replaced. Sticking often means beer is drying inside the faucet between pours, so it is also worth looking at how often the faucets are cleaned.
